SWFL HI AI INNOVATION HUB

Our Coalition

The SWFL HI AI Innovation Hub is built on the principle that no single organization can build what our region needs alone. Our coalition brings together the institutions that already serve Southwest Florida and coordinates their work under one human-centered AI framework.

Coalition Roles

Our coalition is organized into six functional roles, each with named partner ownership. This structure ensures clarity, avoids duplication, and creates clear accountability across the Hub’s work.

1. CONVENING BACKBONE
Collaboratory + Lee County Economic Development Office

Neutral five-county convening capability, paired with regional economic development leadership. Collaboratory serves as the Hub’s fiscal agent.

2. RESEARCH & AI EXPERTISE
FGCU Dendritic AI Institute

Florida Gulf Coast University’s purpose-built AI and Data Science institute, established in 2023. Provides the Hub’s technical research foundation and AI credibility.

3. TRAINING DELIVERY
Florida SBDC at FGCU · FSW · Lee County Schools · Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida

Four delivery channels reaching small businesses, working professionals, K-12 teachers and students, and entrepreneurs across the region’s economic spectrum.

4. SECTOR VERTICALS
Lee Health · Naples Chamber of Commerce · Lee County Schools

Sector-specific leadership for healthcare, business community, and education — each running problem-first pilots that solve real Southwest Florida challenges.

5. AI DEPLOYMENT & IMPLEMENTATION
Solvably · Minaya Learning Global Solutions · Nuro.is · MDM Ventures

Private-sector partners providing AI implementation capacity for businesses, nonprofits, and institutions across the region.

6. WORKFORCE & GOVERNANCE
CareerSource Southwest Florida + Lee County Economic Development Office

Workforce funding pathways, accountability frameworks, and the public-sector anchor that keeps the Hub’s work tied to regional economic outcomes.
