Scholarships

Scholarships offered through Collaboratory provide vital financial support to students in Southwest Florida who are pursuing education and skills that align with the region’s most in-demand careers. By investing in local talent, we help build a stronger, more resilient workforce—contributing to shared regional goals and advancing collective impact. These scholarships are one way we partner with individuals and institutions to create lasting change and make SWFL a place where everyone can thrive.

Volunteer as a Scholarship Reviewer

Each year, more than 200 dedicated volunteers help shape the future of Southwest Florida by serving as scholarship reviewers. By thoughtfully evaluating student applications, they play a vital role in our community-wide effort to expand access to education and opportunity.

Volunteering as a reviewer is a meaningful way to give back—offering your time and perspective to support students on their educational journeys. The review period lasts three weeks, typically from late January through mid-February. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure scholarship reviewers feel confident and prepared.

If you’re interested in joining this important work, we’d love to hear from you. You can get started by completing the Volunteer Sign up HERE or contact us at volunteer@collaboratory.org to learn more.

Funding supports those attending vocational and technical colleges, state colleges, and universities anywhere in the country.

Awards are based on a variety of criteria, including academic achievement, community service, chosen field of study, athletic participation, and even attendance at specific schools.

With a single application, students can be considered for multiple scholarships that align with their goals and aspirations.
