The SEP (Stakeholder Engagement Plan) workshop, led by Tessa LeSage, Chief Impact Officer at Collaboratory, is an immersive session designed to teach a relationship-based, systems-building approach to addressing complex social problems. This workshop emphasizes that in community collaboration, the process itself is the product, and the quality of outcomes directly correlates with the underlying engagement process. Participants will learn fundamental principles such as systemness, the importance of relationships, the critical role of process, and the necessity of internal leadership. The workshop will guide attendees through four key stages: identifying relevant stakeholders, understanding data and information, co-creating new collaborative methods, and redesigning work through rewired relationships. By focusing on these elements, the workshop aims to equip participants with the tools and frameworks necessary to engage cross-sector stakeholders effectively, ultimately improving collaborative efforts to enhance the human condition.
